"Where do you live" is qualifying in
San Francisco, because the very large
single female population here fantasizes
about having a boyfriend in the city.
So much so that they state this in
online personals as a qualifier. Guys
from the East Bay, Silicon Valley,
Walnut Creek or (eeww!) Vallejo (where
all the sex offenders live) are
unattractive by default.
This can be verified by reading the
personals posted at craigslist, nerve,
etc. In my case it doesn't matter
because my SF-residing LTR decided to look
outside the city.
This may be true elsewhere.
On the other hand, having or not having
a car may not matter, since cars are "evil"
anyway.
