These fears are pretty much just a minor obstacle that's preventing you from
taking action.
Act without thinking. Don't analyze the situation, don't think about what
you're going to say/do and how, just make the decision and jump right in with
no hesitation. Don't even give your fear a chance to happen. Once you do
these, you'll see that it's actually really easy, and actually feels good
because it gives you a nice little rush.
The main problem is just when you stop to think because then
suddenly all kinds of thoughts of what could go wrong start popping up and
suddenly you're feet are bolted to the ground.
You don't need a psychiatrist to prescribe you some wrist-tapping exercise to
perform before you tell a girl she's cute. Just walk up and do it, and realize
that it's actually kind of fun.
