use the term cocky - clearly David DeAngelo is not suggesting that you act like
a prick. At the end of the day the term C&F is just a way of describing
demonstrating higher value by showing disrespect veiled in humour. Call it what
you want - how about calling it a 'funny neg' - but just don't get all excited
because you associate the word cocky with negative connotations.
Also, making a cocky comment does not mean that you are a cocky person, you are
just acting cocky - playing a game. Your analogy with a funny racist was
clever, however it does not really apply: acting racist is as bad as being a
racist, but acting cocky does not mean you are cocky.
And if you just don't like the whole concept of C&F, use something else...
