It took me years ;).

I did 4 of these 'warming ups' asking the time and asking directions. One of
them went quite well, two goodlooking girls, I asked for directions and asked
if it was a nice place. This way we had a small conversation going, lasted for
one minute or so, but it gave me some courage to do more :).

I tried not to make it too obvious by leaning against the wall (because at the
side of the bench you could lean to the wall, while at the bench we were
sitting you couldn't :). So I don't think it was that obvious :).

Yeah it wasn't really smooth, but it came out quite natural. One girl smiled
and reacted positively. The other one stood there and said nothing. It felt
natural for me, so if I had something else to say I might've been able to
continue the conversation. Instead, I just said bye and left.
It was a good one though, especially for one of the first approaches :).

Well, it didn't stop after that, she said to me that they were twins. I said
'What? A one-egg twin or a two-egg twin?' (I forgot the real words in English
:). She said 'A two-egg twin' 'Oh yeah, that is more believable :)'
Later I thought I could've said something like 'Oh, then YOU must be the evil
twin ;)'
Again, the other girl was silent, this happens most of the time right?. I had
the intention to approach both girls, but only one responds..
>thanx for any comments on my >field report
Yeah thanks :).
I do notice that this has helped me to like approaching. I just feel like doing
it one more time. However, I don't think that I would then have the courage to
do it.
