silent moment. I'm not sure if it's productive or not, but it helps me enjoy
silent moments a lot more (and that's attractive). Maybe you have to be a
little sadistic like me to enjoy this. I calibrate the situation and play
little mental games like:
"Hmm, let's see for how long she can stand the silence..." and then I shut up
until she speaks. I watch them sweat and try to find something to say. Or I
look around for something more interesting than her, remember it's her job to
impress me...
Or I shut up and give them a sly smile like "She wants me..." I'm curious for
how long I can do this before she says "what?" or starts a new conversation
thread.
Or I look at her and go into sexual state, just to see how she reacts.
Or I shut up and keep EC with her until she looks away, when she looks at you
again repeat until she says something or she does something you can bust her
on. I just play with her.
Or I say something like this, like I've just met somebody I know "hey! what's
up? How's your family? How's your tractor? Does it work well? Cool... You know,
my new John Deere sucks, I have to fix it all the time... Hey, I've heard you
bought a new cow..." (this isn't scripted, I just improvise in the moment.
Whatever)
I view silent moments as my way to test them. Are they comfortable? You know,
if you don't have anything to say in a situation, it doesn't mean you're not
funny, high value, attractive or anything, it doesn't say anything negative
about you as a person. It means you are cool, can stand social pressure, are
the one to impress, are the prize etc.
