But you're just the same as an AFC coming into this forum and saying "these
techniques won't work".
EFT works. I've helped people cure fears of heights, wasps, in just a few
minutes.
NONE OF THE BRISTOL LAIR guys who have applied it properly have any approach
phobia.
It doesn't work on everything, for example, if you're not MOTIVATED to approach, it doesn't help much with that.
It's not a placebo effect, you don't have to believe that it will work, not
even subconsciously. There are hypnotic and energetic theories behind it and
both of them make sense to me.
This next paragraph will upset a lot of people because they won't understand
it: I don't know that it will ever be scientifically validated. There are
levels of truth above logic and reason, and that is where EFT operates.
I wouldn't even say that I've seen it produce 'repeatable' results, because the
domain in which it is tested is so random - the human mind in the laboratory of
life. How are you meant to produce a meaningful study there.
However, I defy you to find a phobic who can't be cured from a few sessions
with a decent EFT therapist. Similarly, I'd be surprised if you could put
anyone in front of me whose approach anxiety I couldn't sort out over a couple
of sessions.
If anyone in the UK would like help with using EFT on their Approach Anxiety,
during the end of August or early September, drop me a line.
