definately send most guys into a state where they will PAY ATTENTION. The DHV
for the two characters in your story comes to serve the same purpose I assume.
I respect your posts though, because they INSPIRE people on an emotional level
to go out and get in the field instead of over-focusing on logical and
technique. One of the things I've been rapidly discovering is the more socially
calibrated you become, the less important the 'rules' are. It's hard to explain
this to beginners though because they feel like they need some sort of life
preserver to hang onto if shit goes bad.
To address your question, "how do we transfer these skills": Learning is most
effective when its a combination of the natural and the rational. In the
moment, logic really has no place. THIS IS THE TIME to learn and model. Logic
best serves us when we use it to reflect on a past experience, analyze it, and
then project how we want it to be different on an imagined future.
This is all fundemental learning principles of course. And if the world were a
perfect place all aspiring PUA's could simply go out in the field and model the
best AS WELL AS have them do the post game commentary thing. Unfortunately most
of us are restricted to this message board which is limited to written words.
When we go out many of us are trapped in small towns with little to offer in
terms of modelling PUA's. Trying to understand how the top gurus game is like
trying to recreate the DDAY invasion of Normandy in one's head without ever
having seen pictures or THOSE hollywood movies.
Furthermore it has been complicated by the fact than many of the top artists
have turned PU into their career. For them, if you can make money while doing
something you love and excel at, then why not? It seems the restriction and
sale of information is where capitalism is inevitably headed anyway.
The mistake we too often make, is focusing on THE PROBLEM instead of THE
SOLUTION. I'm going to answer in brutal honesty, so consider this my
disclaimer.
-An improved message board. (props for Formhandle for coming this far already)
This should, could, can, and will happen to be more effecient and accomodating.
ASF is too big for its current britches.
-The expansion of PU workshop/information sales. Considering there is no going
back, and there is a high demand and high cost/profit, it is a natural
inevitability. (plan to see me involved in this in the future ;) )
-Utilization of burgeoning technology. Conference calls with top PUA's running
the show. Digital media showing visual footage of PUA's in action. Eventually
there will be quality videos with sound/video editing of PUA's IN THE FIELD,
not just in workshops.
-A more comprehensive networked system of Wingmen. PAIR is awesome and probably
a bit ahead of its time. The more people join, the more effective it gets. This
includes the growth of lairs around the world as well as newsletters and email
listservs. Basically the free part of pickup. Which will challenge the PayFor
part of PU, which will develop in tandem and function symbiotically.
-PU evolution. Evolution in strategy, in tactics. Evolutions and Revolutions.
Eventually the field may even evolve because of itself (ie: because so many
people use this tactic, it must change, because of itself). When this happens,
consider PU self aware.
The machines will take over! hahaha
