My take is it's important to disengange yourself from her problems. As guys
(especially the formerly uber-AFCs) we are often tempted to help people, girls
in particular, out in times of trouble.

I did my own fair bit of consoling girls who were going through hard times in
their lives, and that led me nowhere. Even my indifference to the outcome
didn't help. Girls seems to love the whole range of their emotions, even the
bad ones, and trying to rip them off of them is not gonna help you much. At
best this leads you to the LJBF land, but normally you won't get even that -
she'll associate you with a disposable tampon good for nothing because she
already used it.

I doubt rapport or any attempts of refraiming her fucked-up bullshit into
positive can work for a depressed girl. I think the best way is to overcharge
her with positive emotions such that they overload the negatives ones
associated with her family and temporarily get her in the receptive mood.

That said, do not try to console her, lead a funny convo instead - C&F about
other people and cool jokes are your best weapons. Treat her like you didn't
hear the bit about her problems, pay attention however not to ridicule her
cause in the state she's in she'll hate you for that. Apply progressively
heavier kino and amplified sexual state coupled with the most sexual
eye-contact you can master. Get alcohol to help if your not particularly
concerned about it being a pure no-doping by-the-book sarge.

That's my two cents. However, if her situ is really fucked up, all of the above
may not help and it's best to next her and spend the time hunting other chicks.
