My wing and I spent the night working on this. It was more like OPEN, NEG,
TIME CONSTRAINT, ROUTINE. I don't think it matters if you misplace the neg/time constraint. The point is, you MUST get the neg in the first 5 seconds
with 9's and 10's.
Keep in mind, Mystery Method» is my bible right now. I strictly follow its
structures, and what Mystery says, because... well, he's the best. It's proven
to work, and it's a skill, just like anything else. Canned negs are obviously
a lot easier to use than situational negs. They're proven to work,
consistently. Besides, once you've got 1000+ approaches under your belt, you
begin to use the same negs/C+F responses over, and over. I still do use
situational negs all the time, though, but it's easier to follow the structure
and faster to do it this way.
Anyways, like I said, I've been field testing. We were testing it on as many
9's/10's as we could, but also 7's and 8's, just for the practice.
I stopped a 9 on the street downtown (night time).
ME: "hey, could I get a quick female opinion on something?"
HER: "okay"
ME: "you have something on your face, by the way"
ME: "alright, I gotta get back to my friends, but do women find the rockstar
david bowie hot?"
The neg worked (I think). She was rubbing her face. I can pull this neg off
well, like it's a natural thing. Anyways, but she blew me out because she said
"you asked me this at the mall already" and walked away. My wing pointed out
that my body language was fucked in this set. I had to work on that, too. I
opened too early.
I hit a few more sets, but mainly I was using the "You've got something on your
face" neg. I used it on 2-3 sets as well, but I managed to pull it off nicely
because I would keep going and wouldn't give them a chance to respond. If
their friend says "no she doesn't", I'll just say "oh, nevermind" or something.
But, that never happened... I just kept going.
The other neg I was testing was "i like your hair... is that your natural
color? oh well, i guess it still looks nice..." Works well, too.
I've noticed opening on the street requires somewhat of a FRAME. I'm talking
about moving sets. If they're 9's or 10's, it's very hard to get them to stop.
I open with VERY good body language, over my shoulder and don't move my feet.
Projection is huge, too. Even if I do it perfectly, sometimes they still don't
stop. Having a strong frame and being able to suck them in congruently has to
have something to do with it. I've seen it done many times.
Anyways, I plan on field testing the negging a lot more. I like that neg with
"I like your purse... I saw a girl with the exact same one at xxx." Will use
it. =)
