Mt reply is OT, but a clarification is needed.

You're connecting a field report with content to one that would have had no
content, presuming that somehow you would have been discouraged from posting
anything in regards to a workshop. That's not the case.

Here is my point:

Mystery's workshops/seminars cost a lot of money. That's a fact. It doesn't
matter where the money goes, they cost money. Significantly more money than
just about anything that is put in front of anybody short of an RJ or DyD
seminar. If someone, anyone, is going to write up something about the workshop
on this forum, it should be more than a empty multi-paragraph testimonial.
I've seen products being sold on ebay that have offered more content about the
product being sold than a lot of the MMWS reports. And, I've also seen the
original posters of those reports totally ignore answering valid questions
people ask them in regards to their experience.

I'm sure every one of the guys who've posted a report truly had no ill intent
and were really just trying to share their experience. However, if I was a
total cynic and observing all this without being involved in the community or
knowing who they were talking about, it would really come across as
manufactured testimonials. And THAT is not cool.

What I'm saying is, just because it's Mystery doing these workshops, it doesn't
mean different rules apply to him in regards to promotion or expectations from
people who might be interested in knowing what it is they will actually be
taught after handing over their hard earned money. That is not so much to ask
for any guy who's going to post a FR of his experience. If I took some of
these field reports and changed the names from "Mystery" and "Mystery Method»"
to something like "Ken" or "KenXtions" (just as an example), there would be an
UPROAR of people complaining of "what's all this - is this spam?"

My perspective:

I've worked over 3 years putting this site together. The traffic manufactured
itself because of the efforts, and I keep working on it to make sure it's
useful, is available, and runs smoothly. At the same time, I am never taking
the people making use of the site/forum for granted, I am constantly being
direct and honest with them. This has resulted in massive traffic to the site
and forum. I absolutely do not want to see that being taken for granted in a
way that treats all that effort as a "free ride" of promotion for a commercial
product. To be fair, Kojack has provided a referral code to me so that he
could track people who get to Mystery's site through mine. But none of that
plays ANY role when it's all just constant, unchallenged, meatless testimonials
on the forum which, to many observers, comes across as unfettered and empty
promotion.

>Just don't forget to collect
>your prop at the end, LOL!

Makes sense to me. That's the kind of stuff which would be interesting to read
from people's FR of the workshops.
