Allow me to chime in, as I work almost exclusively clubs.
Three things are different in clubs compared to malls, streets and other
places.
One is that they are a specific environment for a specific target
audience. If you don't fit in, your chance of rejection just quadrupled.
Go to places where _you_ like the atmosphere and the music. One opener
that girls use on guys in clubs is "do you know what this song is called?"
Two, due to the noise level and the lighting and smoke, verbal game is
close to impossible and EC is somewhat tricky. BL is very, very
important, EC and IOIs are second, what you say doesn't matter much, by
the time you say anything, you should have her hooked already. If you BL, EC, etc. are good, you can get to kissing without saying a single
word (did that once, f-closed as well).
Three, most clubs are AFC pickup locations, so the HBs have a routine of
rejecting. Their default answer to anything any guy they don't know says
or asks is "no".
This is your major obstacle on a direct approach, and the easiest to get
over. I've had some success in simply asking in the negative, e.g.
"would you mind dancing with me?" instead of "would you like to dance?".
Her default does her in. Works about half of the time. The other half
you must make sure _before_ opening that you got IOIs. If you can dance,
that shouldn't be difficult.
In my experience, you have to keep it short, to the point and fairly
direct, as longer talks and any nuances in voice, tonality, etc. are
lost in the noise anyways.
Oh, and forget pickup linesChances are, she's heard them twenty times
before and twice that night.
Now in summary, if you get shot down immediately almost every time, then
you should stop practicing what obviously isn't working, sit back and
think what the fuck you're doing so horribly wrong.
Continuing in clubs is definitely worth it. Continuing with a recipe for
desaster can't be. Change your method, not your venue. Why not describe
_what_ you are doing to get this astonishing shotdown rate?
