mASF post by "schematic" posted on: mASF forum: Advanced Discussion, May 5, 2004When I went up to Boston to meet you guys and hang out at the first PU summit it was really the first time in my life where I saw and felt such
a large group of people have interacted with each other as real people.
We acted towards each other the way best friends do, once they get past
all the insecurity shit that can be on the surface.
The biggest impression that it left is that the guys in community really
are different from the rest of the world, even though we're all a part
of it. The guys here aren't ruled by their insecurities and even though
a lot of guys are still working to overcome their own personal
challenges, every one of them realized it was something occuring within
their own mind, not something attributed to outside factors. Personal
responsibility can make such a big difference in one's life and I really
believe that every guy who contributes to this community is on the path
to really figuring things out.
I'm totally with you with everything you've written here, and it makes
me happy just to read a lot of the things you've said. Recently, I'd
decided to leave the community for a while and I'm glad I was able to
shut things down, even for a little bit. I learned that I'm not driven
to seduce, I'm not here for the sex. However, I am back because this
place gives me a such a clearer view of the world. I really want to
share the things I've learned and hopefully some of the things I've
figured out can be helpful to a lot of guys.
That's all for now, but thanks for the post, I enjoyed reading it.
