I haven't had much luck with affirmations before now. But that changed last
weekend when I noticed something peculiar. Each time a made an affirmation, I
would blink or my eyes would dart around losing focus.
Once I realized this, I tried to force myself to focus and not to blink. No
matter how hard I tried, I could not maintain focus. If I managed not to blink
or dart, my eyes would water until I had to blink.
My theory was that my subconscious would not accept the affirmations and was
avoiding them, so I began reducing the "unbelievability" until I ended up at "I
am a Man." This I could say without flinching. (Whew!)
I then worked my way back up the scale of positive statements, doing each one
until I could confidently say it without losing focus.
I believe this process led to my best weekend of sarging ever. I was in the
zone, and got a small glimpse of life from the other side of the Alpha/beta, PUA/afc line. I am going to post my first FR about it when I get time.
Back to the subject...
Now I seem to have acquired a twitch in my eye. It comes and goes, mainly when
I am in social situations with women (not necessarily sarging).
Has anyone else ever experienced this? Do you have any suggestions? Is it a
bad idea to "force" the affirmations in this way? I have tried continued
affirmations, with no reduction in the twitch.
