style". You focus entirely on what's inside your head and then simply let it
radiate outward. You do not modify "techniques", you modify mental states. You
do not use canned material or routines, everything comes naturally, completely
dynamicly, based on situation. More so than any other approach, this "style"
recognises the fact that PU is not a skill - it is a by-product of getting your
head fixed, which is where your focus really should be. And of course
understanding human nature.
Long ago, a group of us set out to write down the central principles of this
approach, or "ideology" as it might be called. Perhaps I still have it
somewhere, I must take a look. Some argued that this "style" is simply the
highest level of PU ability though, following the normal learning curve: when
you get good enough, all the million details are merged into a few basic
principles, internalised and then simply forgotten. But I like to think that a
newbie, while possibly not able to understand all of it, is still better off
this way than with "fake it till you make it".
Since I have always been an advocate of this ideology, it sounds awkward to me
to use a term like "inner game»" in the first place - it's not a game, it's your
life, and what you do about it. There is no game without "inner game»", just as
there is no person without personality.
