I've seen some of your posts here in the past, and thought well of them. I
think you have a good internal understanding of the game.
But, your results seem to be inconsistent with your level of effort. But what
I'm wondering/assuming is... are these just your LATEST results? I mean, you
stated you've been learning this for 18 months or whatever, so I just have to
ask...
Have you been laid during this time?
Understand, I'm not trying to be a dick at all, I'm really not. It's just
that, almost any AFC can get laid with no game at all, with consistent effort,
in a year and a half. And I don't think, at least judging by your posts, that
you are AFC.
So, if you've been having less than the level of success that you should, based
on your level of knowledge and effort then... something else is at work.
This kind of reminds me of martial arts, in a sense. Everyone's been in
fights, and most of us have won some, and lost some. But, without training,
it's all asses and elbows. Mostly, whether we win or lose will depend on how
much we persist, and luck. Kind of like, well, AFC's, and getting laid.
But, when you first start training, well, your skill level may actually go DOWN
for a little while. Getting into a fight using the skills of a white-belt,
will probably only get your ass kicked.
But, after a while, and certainly, within the upper belt ranges, you should be
on the upswing of the inverse bell curve. Now, you're going to kick ass of
both the untrained, (AFC's), as well as the less-trained. To put it another
way, only a very few people will be able to kick your ass at this point (or
only a very few sarges should go unsuccessfully, in PU).
So, if you've been "training" this long, and are still experiencing
lower-than-AFC results, perhaps you should indeed take a look back, and see
what else may be going on.
