These threads here are ridiculous. I do NOT think Gunwitch vs Mystery,
Ross vs David D. They've ALL contributed very important pieces to my
game, and I am smart enough to know WHEN to use each piece and HOW.
(And I also know for a fact that most of these guys use bits of each
other's material too--hell, it works.)
So, that said, it is a real annoyance here when people COMPLAIN about
the lack of accomplished PUAs posting here, and then every time Ross
or Mystery or someone similar posts here, they are flamed and
attacked. That's great: chase off anyone who can help you.
While I think it's good to challenge ideas, I truly believe that if
someone else had posted the exact same messages Ross and Mystery have
lately, they would not have been flamed but instead embraced. That
said, the arrogance of some of the guys who have developed their own
style (as well as guys who haven't but for some narcissistic reason
want to have a method named after them) can in some ways bring all
this on.
Don't knock it till you've seen it and tried it....
ON ANOTHER TOPIC:
I met up yesterday with an old poster here, Roadking (he's in the
archives, good guy). He talked about how the seduction groups became
an addiction that DECREASED his social skills. He literally had to
give his roomate his computer cables and say, "Don't give these back
to me for three days," in order to wean himself off posting. Like a
junkie.
In the next week or two, I plan on attempting to go completely OFFLINE
for a month or two and also to stop going out to specifically sarge.
I'd like to integrate these skills, attitudes, and confidence into my
regular offline life to see what happens. I showed some friends a
video of me a few years ago and they all said, "What a dweeb!" LOL.
Thanks to this newsgroup and the posters and even (and especially) the
"for-profit" PUAs for helping me with my tranformation-in-progress.
