mASF post by "jack_tripper" posted on: mASF forum: General Discussion newsgroup, December 12, 2003I don't think anyone has a problem with workshops. It's your money so spend it
however you want. But recent posts about it make it seem like many people were
having the wrong ideas about the point of these workshops. Fortunately, there's
been a lot of good reviews to set things straight.
As for LA, I'll try to head out there if somebody else from Austin goes (TowerT
expressed interest). I've never been there so if nothing else, I'll get to
visit the city, and meet some cool guys. I've found that tickets to LA are
actually much cheaper than to nearby cities, or a midsize town like Austin. The
only problem is for people who've already ordered tickets here, or those who
were planning on driving and now have to shell out the $$$ for a ticket.
