mASF post by "Project X" posted on: mASF forum: Advanced Discussion, July 7, 2005This is such a complicated topic, but well worth discussing. I don't think we
gonna even cover a fraction what encompasses a good conversation.
Starting with wide rapport, in terms of subjects:
movies/TVs/celebs - relate current situation to TV shows - Wow, this just like
in that episode of Seinfeld... You know whats the best romantic comedy.. what
do you think of Tom Cruise and Katie Holms.
Travel - I just got back from London, I read in Conde'Nest, travel channel says
Ebise is the best place for party vacation.
Food - you live in south end? ever been to the butcher shop. I went to a wine
expo once and got totally trashed. Jamba juice. Ever drink tapioca milk tea?
Relations - gays, gays, gays. My friends girl friend said this blah, blah what
do you think. My neighbor..
Party places - I went to this club, after hour place. Scorpion bowel.
Animals - What's cuter? puppies or kittens. Why do dolphins look so friendly. I
bought my sister a Hello Kitty pencil box.
Music, art, museums.
Hobbies - sailing, volley ball, watching Wizard of Oz while smoking weed,
camping, white water rafting, yoga, spas, sun bathing, beaches, Atkins diet.
Strange people you know - I had this uncle. This blind dude that rides the
subway.
Cultures - people in japan don't drink tea from a bowel. I love how punctual
germans are...
Unknown - what Mystery focuses on - ESP, astrology, palm reading, ghosts, 6th
sense.
Books -
Childhood -
This is all I can think of right now. I am sure you guys can think of a few
other topics that girls like to talk about.
Of course how you talk about these topics is what makes the conversation
captivating. Like Badboy and Juggler advocate - add elements of drama, instill
emotional contents, voice of sympathy, care, arrogance, authority....
Anyways I am sure there are so many other factors that control the dynamics of
the conversation. There always some level of frame control, where to interject
with humor, hoops, etc.
