mASF post by "antelopeplays" posted on: mASF forum: General Discussion newsgroup, March 3, 2004Mystery says, "Let the Venusian arts enrich your life, not dominate it." That's
worth remembering. A good friend of mine got addicted to PU. As many have noted
here, the more time you put into PU, the better the results. My friend put in
lots and lots of time, and got very, very good --to the point that he had more HBs than he knew what to do with, was getting invited to teach at PU seminars
and join Mystery's Lounge, etc. In fact, most of you would recognize his name
as he's one of the all-time top posters on this site. Problem was, while
succeeding at PU he let the rest of his life go to hell. He ran up big debts
and emptied his savings to finance his PUA lifestyle, and he neglected his
career -- which he had invested years in -- to the point that he got fired and
will probably never work in his chosen field again. He also abandoned his
family (yeah, he was married and had a kid). Now my friend is pushing 50, and
even if he is one of the world's top PUAs, his life is a godawful shambles.
Let's all wish him well at cleaning up the mess and hope we can learn from his
mistakes.
