It was five words.
Five words that I thought I'd never thoguht I'd recommend saying to girl you barely know, let alone have never spoken a word to.
I was out with JohnnyC69 downtown on Saturday night. It was really late, like 3:30 A.M.
We were wrapping up a night of crazy antics as usual, and we rolled in this late night burger place.
Straight to the back of the place to the bathroom to take a leak of course.
Johnny's standing in the hallway right outside the door, and I'm in the middle of the door drying my hands, about to throw away a paper towel.
This really cute brunette chick is about to walk into the bathroom not ten feet in front of JC and this guy opens with the most unexpected shit I've ever heard.
Standing rock solid, unflinching with this slight smile on his face, he says matter-of-factly, no lie...
JC: You know...
Nice little pause
JC: I love you.
I don't even think he blinked!
Man, the look in this chicks eyes, to quote Ciaran from RSD:
"SHOCK AND FUCKING AWE!!!"
I don't even know how she answered that but she had this big ass grin on her face like her life just now had meaning.
Crazy crazy shit.
I kid you not, I was telling JC to wait on her to come out and keep it going, but like 3 girls had went in there and came out and while she was in there.
I could almost swear she was in there rubbing one out.
It hit her THAT HARD. I PROMISE.
So she eventually comes out, and JC transitions with, "Look, you know, I didn't mean that like some kind of stalker..."
Lol.
I was cracking up.
I promise I've never seen a opening "line" hit a girl so hard.
You could see it, she bought it HARD.
It was the most straightforward, in the moment, "I KNOW you're gonna love me" opening I've seen.
"You know... I love you."
