I verbalize my playing a game on her. For example I give them an opener, and they have a comeback. Then I just look at her and say "I can't believe you just did that. I had solid game and you just fucked it up with that reply". This always gets a laugh. Sometimes they ask what they should have said instead... if they don't, I say "you should have said this instead". And they do!! Either way I have pulled them into my frame. It is amazing how this works.
I keep up this strange combination of over the top honesty about my seeing her as sexy mixed with a steady stream of negs. She gets COMPLETELY confused. I tell her "Oh my God... look up... WOW WOW WOW!!!!! You have THE sexiest eyes on the planet!!!!" in a very sarcastic way. Same thing she has heard maybe 10 times that night, right? But not with my kind of sarcasm. I take her physical qualities, compliment her (a usual no-no) as if I am doing a ridiculous impression of the last guy. Total sarcasm, totally over the top. Now half of her knows I am hitting on her. I already TOLD HER "I am hitting on you". The other half thinks I am just fucking with her. I mean who tells the girl that?
I completely release the awkward tension of "I want you, I need to talk to you". What says to a girl you don't give a shit more than your saying "I was hitting on you and you fucked it up". As if it is HER fault.
So anyway it's not even a technique. It's a state of mind. I make no excuses for myself. Not even for hitting on her.
I have had great success with the following technique, it something I didn't think about but I just find that I do it more and more now. I don't know how to describe it exactly.
