In the post it was talked about that intuition can be tuned in to the degree that a person can seem like a true psychic.
I challenge the idea ...
Not because I don't belive in psychic powers .. quite the contrary !! What I disagree with is the common understanding of the words "Psychic Power" or "Psychic Ability"
First off .. what if you don't think psychic power is real ? In order to grasp the concept I think it must be real or there is no use in debating it's power. So lets realize what it is.
There are three main systems at work within our bodies.
The Physical System .. that part of ourselves which exists in the realm of physics. Atomic and molecular particles make up the meat, bones, blood and skin of our physical selves and we can easily realize that our physical selves are real and we have physical power that can be used to interact and change our physical surroundings.
The Physiological System .. the part of ourselves which acts as the communication conduit to the physical parts of our bodies .. electrical in nature and operating mostly on a subconscious level it takes care of breathing, coughing, digesting food, ejaculation, laughing, and also the gut wrenching part of fear .. as well as a raft of other things. It has feedback loops so that it works on it's own accord however because it is tied to the physical it can also affect things in that realm.
The Psychical System .. which is completely misunderstood by modern society. This system is the energy (electrical in nature) that drives our personalities, our imaginations, our memories, and our conscious and subconscious minds. It is part of who we are as individuals however (if you have read any Carl Jung) there is also a collective energy that we all share that is not bound by the skin and can penetrate the physical world just like radio waves penetrate the walls of your house to get to your radio.
Psychic Power is the power of your mind. It is not some hocus pocus parlor trick which is the current perception and yet it seems that the hocus pocus is the accepted and common meaning of the words ... and worse , no one I know believes they have psychic powers .. .. they believe their minds are either physical (what Cosy describes as weak minded in his post about Ignorance) or they believe that the mind is physiological and both higher and lower brain functions are rooted in physiology .. these are the people who are trapped inside there own minds and cannot escape ... It takes creativity to escape and creativity requires unbridled imagination ... physiology however is a control system .. it is very rigid in function and does not have the capacity for freedom of creativity as it is not operating in that realm.
This means that when you find someone who is not creative, who has little or no imagination, who is locked into a dogma of a mind set and seems to not be able to grasp concepts that do not match their model of the universe .. they reject them as not being real .. as being impossible. Even when they witness with their own eyes .. ever meet anyone like that ...?
... I'll bet you have.
So now that I have defined my understanding of Psychic Ability I would like to provide an example to help you realize that you are psychic .. you have the power (some of you are going ? WTF MK ... of course I have an imagination .. I can imagine head slapping you right now!! .. but thats not being creative .. it's being dogmatic) and you can use it to open up your life to new and exciting things (like SHB's) if you can first understand .. and then believe ... in psychic power.
Scenarios:
You work your ass of to make a deadline and you fail miserably ... your body is already run down and sore .. your emotions and sensations are out of control ... you fall into depression and yet you keep up the appearance of a stable well rounded guy ...
Then some chick comes up to you and says "having a bad day ?"
How did she know ? How could she know ? ahhh I know how .. she has female INTUITION .. she learns things from inside herself about things outside herself .. right ? .. hey wait a mintue , how does that work ? How does she know about me if I don't show any signs ?
I'll tell you how, but you need to know something about Electromagnetic Radiation.
Magnetic waves (radio and television waves) are very , very , very weak for the most part. They are there and they are detectable however in order for our minds to make them useful we need to AMPLIFY them to a usable level.
Thought waves are the same as they are very very very weak when transmitted however if a person is "tuned" in to that resonant frequency .. they will get the signal ... then , AFTERWORDS , they process and amplify what they percieved through intuition and feed it back to you in order to reinforce the perception. Some people do not realize their own psychic power cannot turn it off (how can you if you believe it doesn't exist ?). They constantly become bewildered at the intuitive perceptions of others and even horrified that they are projecting something which they did not intend to.
The other end of the spectrum is the believers in the current understanding of psychic power which comes from novels for shitheads, Hollywood movies, and bad comic books .. they believe in ghosts and spirit possessions .. they practice magic and perform rituals ... they are suseptable to extreme superstitious behavior and yet they can be very imaginative and great at solving new and difficult puzzles.
Why .. ?
Because Psychic behavior elicits a physiological response !!
.. It's physiological behavior that elicits a physical response .. not psychic behavior.
Example:
You see a woman ...
You observe her as your systems all start into action.
Physiology determines how you feel about her ... she is pretty , hot , average , whatever ...
Psychic energy starts pumping out imaginative and creative ideas for acting on your physiological feelings and you can start into physical action as soon as you have formed a plan of action.
Physically you move to engage the plan you formulated in your psyche from the physiological state you are in. Your Psyche set the frame and you physiological state changes to accomidate that frame.
Now all three system are working together and you can quickly adapt to changes because you are not operating from a reactive mind , If you were to drop one system (or simply believe that it doesn't exist) then you will react to input in a dogmatic process simply due to the absense of a primary system.
Without physical ability you cannot perform actions.
Without physiological ability you have no perception of feelings.
Without Psychic ability you cannot create and carry out a plan of action .. you can only copy someone elses behavior and hope you understand their plan ..
Find yourself ...
Do you often find yourself doing things that you believe with produce the desired results .. only to find that it doesn't work consistantly ? (anyone who said 'No' is a liar)
That is because without the belief and understanding of psychic ability and psychic power(or one or more of the other two) then we do not have to mechanism to think and plan in that arena ... how can you if you think it isn't real ?
But .. If you can accept the concept a psychical system that is as much a part of you as your dick ... then you have an arena to work that part of you so that it is healthy and strong and as long as you don't falsely accept the power as ... magic ... then you can stay away from superstitous behavior and ritualistic dogma that you will see trapping everyone else ... I see it every day.
Does this change your perception of Psychic Ability ?

Lets define our own understandings and see if we can find common ground and stop thinking about fantasy, myth, and superstition ...
What happens after awhile though is they do not get the mechanical feedback that reinforces the behavior. There is no action - reaction that can be relied on because there is no physical cause and effect mechanism to reinforce the psychic behavior ... and thats when faith takes a hit as the psychic behavior fails to elicit a physical response.
