Whenever I hear the name Calvin Coolidge I can’t help being instantly reminded of that story about the promiscuous hen.
But now I feel I may be reminded instead of this…
“Nothing in the world can take the place of Persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent. The slogan “Press On” has solved and always will solve the problems of the human race.”
What a truly great thing to say, and how true. Actually my post has nothing more to say than has already been said.
If you consider yourself masterful in one area of this game, what area is it?
Now… what if instead you were only at a basic level in that area, but you were a total master of persistence. You opened everything, you never ejected, you escalated through all problems…
Who gets laid more? Super-persistent sub-normal dude or Easily-discouraged super-cool guy?
No matter how much I have told myself this, it seems that I need to continue to develop this area over all other areas and to uphold the principle...
Persistence OVER calibration
Google can be oddly profound at the most appropriate moment.
