I heard another PUA (Nick Sparks, I think) mention recently, that college girls have a very weak sense of Identity. This is extremely true. On top of the College guys have a weak sense of one too.
In fact I will go out on a limb and say most people have a weak sense of who they are.
Take and Office worker for instance. Does he define himself by his disappointing 9 to 5?
I certainly don't think most LA waitress/actresses have that much confidence in their choice either.
I certainly didn't when I got to college. I struggled with committing to anything, and changed my Major almost half a dozen times.
Because most people are so weak in this, we recognize people who are strong.
Last year, I finally committed myself to doing what I want. I want to be an author. I'm going to follow my dream whether or not I starve. Writer is who I am. In addition to that, I am a player/womanizer/pua.
I know who I am.
People routinely comment that I am exceptionally “together” for my age.
The fact that I may fail utterly in my goals is largely irrelevant. Sure I may never write a best seller. I may some how lose my ability with women. Right now though, even though that may change, I know what I want.
This is one of the most attractive things you can be. This is part of confidence.
If you are new, you should figure this out. Sit down, and decide who you are.
What do you want to do with your life? Assume basically no limits.
Alright, now ask that again, and chose something you really want to be.
Figure out how to make it happen, set some goals, and move toward them.
I'm 25,000 words into my first book, and am attempting to make some contacts in the publishing industry.
Figure out who you are. If you don't like what you are now, change it. Become something that you can love.
If your Identity is “Gamer/Nerd” make it a color one. Perhaps you are a “mathematician” or “engineer.” As long as it is something you are truly passionate about then it is fine. Something that you deem truly worth while.
Especially you younger college guys. Right now, we have the choice to do anything. Yet half the guys I meet are business majors. Step back and cut the fear away. Stop worrying about how hard it will be to do what you really want.
You will be so much happier doing that. Maybe you want to start your own business, and that is great. Figure out what it is you want to do. Go after the dream, and make it happen.
Being the guy that is going to succeed at his dream, is better than another cubicle jockey. Not only do women find it attractive, but you will be so much happier. If you do what you love or aim for it, your identity will be stronger. It will help you know who you are.
Maybe it isn't a job, but it is something. Know what it is, and be proud of it.
Don't cop out.
A little disjointed, but its my thoughts at the moment. Feel free to critique
I want to share some musings I have been having on Identity.
