Giving Value
In my opinion, and my experience, this is the absolute gold dust of PU. Going into a set and putting value into the set, and the girls, this is what really blows sets open. Girls get all happy and IOIy.
In-fact I would say that when I give value, that's when my own value increases more. That I'm willing to give, to smile, to hug, to play... this is what makes girls want to come and talk to me, and play with me
What I mean by giving value is bestowing value into the girl, the set, the room.
It's important to distinguish low status behaviour from the behaviour of giving value.
Giving Value is a high status behaviour
- a boss gives a promotion
Low status behaviour is submitting value (begging, kneeling, fearing eye contact, apologising inappropriately).
I find that there was several things which frequently have caused me to leak value.
* showing too much disinterest
This is why you'll often find me arguing against rules such as "never lean in" and "maintain higher value." Because I know that, at the very least for me, these tactics suck shit.
GIVE value, GET the room.
This is a place where my own experiences with PU have frequently conflicted with many people here.
- a king gives a knighthood
- a baron gives some land
* using uncalibrated C&F
* acting like I'm better than her ("I suppose I could squeeze you in for a drink between 3:30 and 3:35, but I'm not buying.")
* clinging on to value (leaning back even when the situation calls for some compromise, etc)
* being unprepared to risk value
