I hear a lot of guys talk about the friend zone after they get LJBFd. The thing is, they talk about it like it's a real place. As if it were like the Bermuda Triangle; they were on perfectly smooth ride to fuck-town, but OH, they hit the friend zone and the whole thing went belly up.

So what's the big deal if some guys get to sooth their ego by using the friend zone excuse? It's just a harmless rationalization right? Sure. But the problem is when guys plan their game around the friend zone. When they avoid being friends first or worry if they let a girl sit in the corral for too long, he'll lose her because he'll get put in the friend zone.

The thing that we need to keep in mind is that the friend zone is not a REAL thing. It is a nice excuse that women give us when we haven't presented a convincing case for coitus. I can guarantee you that no woman in the history of the world has kept herself from fucking a guy she was into because she didn't want to ruin the friendship. The only time this is ACTUALLY a problem is when it occurs on the meta-level (i.e., like anti-slut defense, the girl WANTS to fuck you but doesn't because, except instead of not wanting to look like a slut, she's heard about the friend zone so much she believes that good girls don't fuck guys they're friends with; but that's an easy fix.)

Imagine: Brad Pitt moves in next door to one of your single friends. They become friends over the course of a year, and he finally starts to hit on her. Do you think she'll say: "Oh, Brad, of course you're very attractive, but we've become such good friends I don't want to jeopardize it!" Helll no. She'll say: "What took you so long?!" and then proceed to fuck him. Hard.

My point gentlemen is simply this: recognize that being LJBFd is not the result of getting stuck in some crazy place called the friend zone where up is down and down is up and Rod Serling narrates, but rather a red flag that you didn't do your job in the earlier stages of the game.
