I really shouldn't have to say this, but I feel it's necessary after doing some observation of what goes on here. A few times, for example, I'd post questions or posts asking for advice on a certain situation, and the next day the topic would be full of responses. And more often than not, the people giving advice I knew from their own topics had no idea what they were talking about, were virgins, or to be blunt, complete social retards.

I've found it's incredibly easy to spot when this is going on. For example, the people who post without knowing what they're doing usually have some lingo from The Game every other word, ie "you should have DHV and then social proofed and then escalated, she was totally shit-testing you and you didn't disarm the obstacles," which not only sounds ridiculous but is a dead give-away of the phenomenon I'm talking about.

Another obvious sign seems to be the people who are incredibly condescending in their replies, ie "LOL how could you miss that window? You fucked up big time!" People who have experience under their belts, as either students or mentors, don't talk like this.

The reason I'm making this post is because not only is it incredibly annoying, but for newer guys who can't yet spot when this is going on, can really fuck up what they're trying to do. Getting advice from people who sit behind their computers all day absorbing MASF lingo and spitting it back out is NOT conducive to their sucess, so it is also for the sake of the newbies that I ask people not to do this.

For example, the vast majority of what I do revolves around social-circle game, so I feel perfectly comfortable giving related help. I don't go out and do 1000 cold approaches, or almost any for that matter, so you'll never see me give advice on the topic of approaching.

I know it's tempting to show everyone how much you know about pick-up and how familiar you are with the terminology, but for the love of God--you're making an ass of yourself and ruining it for the guys just getting started. And I don't mean that you shouldn't give advice if you're not getting laid like crazy, all I mean is that everyone on here has their own spheres of expertise, and these guys usually do a fantastic job of helping out with questions. But when the boards are full of what I'm talking about, it gets very difficult to sift through it and get advice from people who actually know what they're talking about.
