The myth:

When you're interacting with women (or men) in a club or bar in a fun way and they're laughing and enjoying your company, ALL EYES ARE ON YOU! All the women in the club notice how the females are responding to you and just can't wait to hang out with you, and all the guys are staring at you, SHOCKED by what you're saying and the fact that it seems to be working, and they wish they were you. Since everyone in the bar is paying attention to you, your magical "social proof" levels go up and sets open more receptively. People see you walking up to strangers with total confidence. You are the man, everyone wants to be your friend.

The reality:

When you're interacting with women or men in a bar or club in a fun way, you look exactly like everyone else. You're talking to a group of people and everyone's laughing and having a good time because that's what they do in bars and clubs. Everyone is so wrapped up in their own reality and conversations that the other people in the venue barely even register unless something truly outrageous appears to be happening, like a terrible dancer alone on the dancefloor making an ass of himself. There's music playing, and nobody can hear the cool awesome routines you're running on people. Nobody is really noticing you at all, except maybe if the venue is relatively empty, because nobody cares how much fun other people are having in a club.

BUT!!!!

Since you're a PUA and not someone who just happens to have a lot of friends at the venue, your state is shooting through the roof as you successfully interact with sets of people and rapidly make new friends. Because you went out with the specific agenda of "sarging," doing a great job allows you to feel awesome about yourself. You get in the mindset that you're the man, and as your perception shifts, so does your reality. Sets aren't opening any easier, the ones that don't simply aren't registering with your new reality and you're shaking them off unconsciously. You BELIEVE that everyone is paying attention to you and wants to meet you, and it does become a self-fulfilling prophecy because your actions will be congruent with that belief.
