Wow lately I got into a habit of slaughtering purely motivational posts. I, who was the KING of motivational posts 5 years ago. What happened?? ... I discovered a tiny yet simple human mechanism.. Expectation Related Discomfort (or pressure ore stress or procrastination or laziness or whatever name you like)

In the LONG run, all humans seek pleasure and avoid pain. In short bursts we can use willpower to change this but the moment we are distracted, its back. SO, by systematically adding 'grand visions' about goals and desired outcomes and desired emotions (confidence..) we were constantly feeding into.. EXPECTATION. (ever increasing the 'ERD' until we liked far more to come up with new goals and plans than to ACTUALLY WORK on reaching ANY goal.)

THIS, was the huge error in the early self improvement media hype (that still lives on the internet).

With this post, I would like to teach you how to recognize this BAD GOSPEL that sound OH SO ENTICING AND DELIGHTFUL at first 'glance'. As I said, I was the king of motivational posts, so Im gonna use some of my own posts as examples. Pay particular heed to the UNWILLINGNESS to talk about the ACTUAL STEPS needed to be taken. This is the BEST IDENTIFIER of typical BULLSHIT inner game» post.

So later when I was gonna do the dishes, I thought a little.. Normally I do a
big dishes in 40 min. I'm very fast and effective and even got compliments for

thing.. and my mind was also processing ahead like hell. And I was all over the
place moving much faster than ever before.. WITHOUT EVEN REALLY TRYING TO..
And I did everything I normally do like cleaning stains on the stove etc and
finnished in 14.5 min.

(Reminds me of TD talking about how he is very ON and successfull during
workshops.. I suspect its because he steps into the PU guru identity..)
