I was doing some reading on Milton Erickson's confusion technique and have been messing around with it in a very general fashion; but I've been noticing as I've been using it - especially when the chick has a hard-frame running - it completely destroys whatever they're doing.

Here's the one I've been using lately:

"OMG, that makes me want to get naked and run around throwing hats at sheep!"

Another that I've played with a bunch (in the past) was:

"Yeah, I see what you're saying - but, how are we going to get the hippopotamus into a tutu?"

Basically any variety of non-sequitur will work. You run a few of these in response to whatever they're saying until the brain is frying a bit - and then just introduce whatever frame you want...and there you are.

You guys got any others?

Anybody have some more experience with this on a more extended basis?

It seems to me that if you just go non-sequitur in any situation where BS comes up, and I mean ANYWHERE, you're just not allowing chicks, or anyone else for that matter, to have a run at YOUR FRAME, because every challenge is met by what is, essentially, a complete denial that anything whatever was said.

Especially after reading BDs post, seems to me you can go Alpha in any of those situations by simply refusing to validate any interaction where anything other than your frame manifests.

Basically, they're trading Frame-Compliance for Intelligibility.

Thoughts?
