There are times where I feel like I can do no wrong, and everything works out perfectly and often for days at a time.

But there are other times, like last night, where I have to drop the ego and realize that it is not always going to happen. And that's exactly what it is, ego. I was talking to a group of girls who just had no interest in me, and in fact may have hated me! But that happens.

In "Manhood in the Making," a sociology book I believe by Gilmore?, he states that "failing is part of the testing."

In other words, the capacity to act, and to fail, and your response to that, is what will define you as a person and your own development.

Sometimes, things fall into my lap, which I guess is called "fools mate" here. Sometimes I make things happen and it could be called "solid game." But really, whatever happens there is something between fools mate and solid game called ego. Failure is what stops you from getting results if you interpret it through that lens. And..whether it is the girl already choosing you, as in fools mate, or you choosing the girl and gaming her solidly, it needs to be considered--who pulls the strings?
