Dude, I hear you. Seeing as you're (first login: August, 29, 2004 03:57 AM),
I'm guessing you've put alot of work into this already.
I was stuck for my first 9 months, and I couldn't figure out why. I would do
canned openers, the jump right into techniques. Because it was all memorized,
it seemed unnatural.
Today, I've switched over to situational openers. I use a different one every
time I sarge, and they feel more legit that way. My typical opener is "Hey,
lemme ask you something..." followed by the most interesting conversation topic
I've had that day. (ex: Who would win in a fight? R2D2 or Christopher Reeves?)
Then, I'll just jump into fluff talk. "What do you do for a living? What do you
like about that? How does it make you feel?".

Also, I try to talk slowly, and act as if I've got a post-workout buzz going.
And I apply Tyler's 25 points at the same time. Be like Bob Marley. Just slow,
sleepy, energized chat, with good posture and eye contact. And if there's
silence, just stare at her till she says something.
That's all.
I think that ASF has a tendency to clutter people's heads with garbage they
can't use right now. Stop telling girls that you have to divorce them because
you're gay and their palm says that they're powerpuff girls. CUT THAT SHIT OUT.
Instead, just vibe.
Gunwitch said it best. These tactics and techniques wont work if you don't have
your fluff skills down. Be a fluffer. Drop the techniques for now.
I might be wrong. That's just what's working for me right now.
